Trama:

  • Pre-production work for this film began before Casino Royale (2006) started filming.
  • Daniel Craig, a fan of Marc Forster, recommended him to be the film's director. According to Foster, he was surprised to be approached for the job as he was not a big OO7 fan as a child, and was unlikely to have taken the job before he saw Casino Royale (2006), in which he felt Bond had been humanised (he explained: "The most interesting place for a James Bond movie to go, in a way, is inward - deeper into Bond himself.").
  • Daniel Craig felt Casino Royale (2006) was physically "a walk in the park" compared to this film; his training was extremely intense, involving more boxing, running, speedboating and stunt driving. He was injured about three times in the making of this film.
